      GENERAL NOTES:
      BIOGRAPHY: Lived with his parents until he went into the Army Air Corp. On May 10, 1942, he went to Alaska where he was in battle around the Aleutian Islands. He returned to the Continental U.S. in September 1943 and was assigned to the Army Air Corp Base at Pyote, TX...Alfred was baptized in the German Reform Church in German Valley, IL. Henry and Elsie took them back to get baptized.

      DEATH: Suffered a heart attack while swimming and died. He was in U.S. Army Air Corps, stationed in Texas, when it happened.
